The Patriots announced that they've promoted LB Jeff Tarpinian from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. In addition, OL Matt Tennant was released.

The Patriots signed LB Jeff Tarpinian from the practice squad to the
53-man roster the team announced Saturday. In addition OL
Matthew Tennant was released, to make room on the roster.
Tarpinian has been on and off the team’s roster since his rookie season
last year. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Iowa product recorded four
defensive tackles and eight special teams tackles in 7 games last year
He finished the season on I/R with a head injury. After being released
as part of final roster cuts in August, Tarpinian was re-signed to the
practice squad in September.
Tennant has also been on and off the Patriots roster. He was
claimed off waivers from the New Orleans Saints Sept 1st, released
Sept. 4th and re-signed on Sept. 29th. The 6-foot-4,
300-pound Boston College lineman was drafted by the Saints in
the fifth round (158th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has played
both center and guard in the NFL.
