So who would you like to see go at it?

Fights are part of football, particularly in training camp. But if you could choose two Atlanta players to fight it out, who would it be?

With three fights already in four days of training camp, the Atlanta Falcons are showing a great display of toughness and competitiveness. Head coach Mike Smith might not have been too publicly pleased Monday, but you know deep down he’s got to be a little happy his players are showing they have some fight in them.

Here are the three matchups so far in the skirmishes:

Jake Matthews vs. Kroy Biermann
Gabe Carimi vs. Stansly Maponga
Ryan Schraeder vs. Jacques Smith

Good to see the offensive line getting mean and nasty, right?

We can assume there will be more fights to come, particularly with the HBO Hard Knocks cameras rolling. But we’d like to ask you, which two Falcons would you like to see go at it? Let’s say for one of those training camp activities they let the players just beat the heck out of each other. Sure, it would never happen because they can’t afford to let anyone get hurt. But who would you like to see fight?

For example, after seeing Paul Soliai for the first time on Monday, I wouldn’t mind seeing him and his 345 pounds go at it with Sam Baker. I suspect Soliai would win that battle, and maybe that’s what I want, just so Baker could take a seat on the bench and the Falcons could slide Matthews to left tackle.

Or how about center Joe Hawley going up against Mallicah Goodman, who has enough of a long wing span that he could probably wrap up Hawley and another lineman.

So who would you want to see fight? Tell us about it on our WE HATE THE SAINTS message board!
