ALL'S WELL: Fullback Justin Griffith spent most of practice smiling and encouraging teammates. In the morning session Saturday, he worried himself and those around him by dropping on all fours after tearing scar tissue in his left ankle.
Griffith's season ended in last December as he landed on injured reserve with a fractured fibula and torn ligaments. Fortunately, X-rays taken Sunday were negative.
"There's nothing wrong with his ankle," Mora said. "Other than the fact than he's a little fatigued and had muscle cramps so that's great news."
Fred McCrary worked with the first-team offense in Griffith's absence and Carey Davis with the second-teamers. ...
Running back T.J. Duckett missed another session with a sore hamstring. ... Defensive end Patrick Kerney screamed in pain after sustaining a stinger in his neck during goal-line work, but line coach Bill Johnson said the Pro Bowl selection is fine.
BACK OFF: Defensive tackle Rod Coleman and right guard Kynan Forney, who combine for 592 pounds, shoved each other in frustration as the team ran drills that followed goal-line work.
Coleman, as well as rookie running back DeAndra Cobb, practiced despite suffering from flu-like symptoms.
