Mora hopes to sign Randall to practice squad

Posted Aug 30, 2005

FLOWERY BRANCH - Just as Jim Mora hopes the team can re-sign veteran defensive lineman Brandon Mitchell, whom the Falcons released Monday, the same goes for rookie quarterback Bryan Randall of Virginia Tech.

Bryan Randall joined receiver Kendrick Mosley, defensive end Gabe Nyenhuis and Price on the waiver wire. Randall, Mosley and Nyenhuis are all eligible for the practice squad.

"Bryan's a guy we like," Mora said. "We like him athletically, like his personality, like his work ethic, his character. We think he's athletic enough and has enough arm strength to potentially play in the league some day. He's a guy that once we start putting our practice squad together, we'll give strong consideration to."
