Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting that free agent defensive end Mike Montgomery (Packers) is scheduled to visit with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday.

Montgomery, 25, was a 6th round draft choice (180th overall) out of Texas A&M by the Packers in 2005.

During his four seasons with the Packers, Montgomery appeared in 46 games, including 8 starts at right defensive end last season in place of an injured Cullen Jenkins.

Montgomery's 1st NFL start came against the Falcons on October 5th, 2008.

Seeing his most extensive as a pro, Montgomery compiled 59 tackles and 2.5 quarterback sacks in 2008. For his career, Montgomery has 121 tackles and 5.0 sacks.

At 6-5 and 273 pounds, Montgomery doesn't appear to be a fit in the Packers' switch to a 3-4 defensive scheme, though the Packers haven't ruled out re-signing him.
