Gonzalez to the Falcons for a second-rounder

Falcons pick up Gonzalez in a trade with Chiefs

Jay Glazer of FoxSports reported today that the Atlanta Falcons have traded their second-round selection in next year's NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs for 10-time Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez.

Gonzalez, the only tight end in NFL history to be selected to 10 Pro Bowls, has played in Kansas City since entering the league in 1997. He caught 96 passes for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns last season as the only weapon in the Chiefs' sorry offensive attack.

Gonzalez had asked the Chiefs for a trade in March if the right deal came along and has stated several times that he plans to play at least one or two more years before calling it a career.
