When the Falcons practiced on Wednesday, four key players were missing from the action including starting LB Curtis Loften, Atlanta's leading tackler.

Lofton, along with QB Matt Ryan, RB Michael Turner and CB Chris Houston all missed Wednesday's workout with various injuries although all four are expected to participate in Sunday's game with the Buffalo Bills.

Lofton leads the Falcons and is the second-leading tackler in the NFL with 128 stops and in his second season he's vying for a possible Pro Bowl nod as well.

In his second season, QB Matt Ryan has been solid, but has struggled at times with injuries. However, he returned last week to help the Falcons end a two-game losing streak with an ugly 10-7 win over the New York Jets.

Turner has struggled on and off the past six weeks with an ankle injury, but will try and give it a go on Sunday. If he can't go, expect Jason Snelling to continue to get a bulk of the carries for Atlanta.

Houston has struggled this season in coverage, but has managed to post 47 tackles, nine passes defensed and one interception. Recommended Stories
