It wasn't a huge surprise that Falcons WR Roddy White didn't garner enough votes to go to the Pro Bowl, but on Tuesday some good news came down from on high and the talented fourth-year wideout earned his second-straight bid to the talent showcase when Minnesota's Sidney Rice pulled out...

White led the Falcons with 1,153 receiving yards and 85 catches while scoring a career-high 11 touchdowns, but he also struggled with injuries and inconsistency at the quarterback position due to Matt Ryan's various injuries.

"I'm excited to be heading back to the Pro Bowl for a second year," White said ina statement released by the team. "My teammates played a huge part in my success this year and I have to credit them as well."

White became the second receiver in franchise history to have three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

"It's good for Roddy," said Falcons coach Mike Smith after watching the South practice at the Senior Bowl. "He'll get down there and get an opportunity to reap the benefits and rewards of a good season."

"I think Roddy is one of the more well-respected receivers in the league. To have back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances only bodes well for him in the future."

The Pro Bowl will be played this Sunday at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.
