| Intense, throwback-type player...Named to the Pro Bowl for third consecutive season in 2003...Totaled second straight 200+ tackle season with 207 last year to become just the second Falcons player ever to have 200+ in a season twice...Has totaled the most tackles in the NFL over the last three years with 586...Posted the most tackles in a season by a Falcon with 212 in 2002 since LB Buddy Curry tallied 229 in 1983...Became just the fifth Falcons defender ever to record 200 tackles in a season with those 212 stops...Recorded double-digit tackles in all 16 games in 2002 and has now collared 10 or more tackles in 40 out of his last 48 games played...Set new single-game best with 22 tackles at Green Bay (9/8) in 2002 season opener...Made the successful switch from weakside linebacker to middle linebacker with the retirement of Jessie Tuggle in 2001...Promising third season in 2000 was cut short due to a sprained left foot that required surgery and forced him from lineup after five games...Took over weakside linebacker duties in first season as full-time starter in 1999 and showed flashes of future Pro Bowl potential, finishing second on the team in solo tackles with 75 behind Tuggle's team-leading 85...Moved back to weakside linebacker by new coaching staff. |
