| Biography: |
| Rich McKay was named president and general manager of the Atlanta Falcons on December 15, 2003. One of the most accomplished executives in the National Football League, McKay came to the Falcons from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he had been general manager of the Buccaneers for nearly nine seasons and a part of the Tampa Bay front office since 1992. In an uncommon move, McKay was named to his position with the Falcons with two weeks remaining in the regular season. Adding irony to McKay's situation was the fact that five days after beginning his new job, the Falcons and Buccaneers would face off in an NFC South matchup. It would be a pleasant homecoming for McKay and his new team as the Falcons defeated the Buccaneers, 30-28. |
